The Sunshine Blogger Award

Thankyou so much to Hayden, @Following Good Books for nominating me for this award! I enjoyed answering the questions you prepared!

What Is The Sunshine Blogger Award?
The Sunshine Blogger Award is given to those who are creative, positive and inspiring while spreading sunshine to the blogging community.

How Does It Work?

  • Thank the blogger(s) who nominated you in a blog post and link back to their blog.
  • Answer the 11 questions sent by the person who nominated you.
  • Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award and write them 11 new questions.
  • List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or on your blog.

What ultimately made you decide to start your blog?

I was thinking about careers and thought that my dream job would be to sit and talk about books all day, and then I thought why not make a blog and do that now! I also restarted my instagram account that I began in 2017 and it felt like a little project getting my blog all set up!

What is the hardest part, or your least favourite part, of blogging?

Now that I’m back at uni, I’m drowning in work so sometimes I forget to post or don’t remember until quite late so I feel like I’m letting myself down cause I don’t have as much time to read or write a post as much as I used to when I first started my blog!

What are your favourite blog posts to write?

I quite enjoy doing book memes as it is quite fun! Top Ten Tuesday is quite fun cause I feel like it’s more of a visual book meme, so the pictures are fun to find and compiling them all together is quite fun!

Do you read more than one book at a time? If so, why?

No I don’t, unless it’s a book for uni but then that’s a history book not a fiction one! My brain can’t concentrate on two different plots at the same time and I normally get too immersed in one world to even want to read another one!

If you could only keep three books on your shelf, which would they be?

OOO I don’t know. This is so tricky!! Maybe Peter Pan because it’s always been a favourite of mine. But then every other book I think of is part of a series and that would be so frustrating to have one but not the rest! I think I’ll have to go with Crescent City by S J Maas for my second book and maybe A Court of Mist and Fury for the third? I don’t know though! I’m so indecisive so this is a really tricky question for me!

Who is one hero or heroine that inspires you and why?

Not one specific person comes to mind at the moment but I will just say that anyone who is resilient enough to continue their daily life despite any ongoing struggles they have inspires me to keep going. The inner strength of people close to me inspires me to be a better person and not give up.

What are your blogging goals for the next year or so?

I don’t really have any specific goals apart from to continue blogging! I’m worried I’m going to get too overwhelmed with final year uni work to be able to blog but my goal is to continue posting even if it get cut down to one post a week!

What do you like to do besides reading and blogging?

I like to listen to music or play music as it relaxes me in a similar way! Or if my eyes are too tired to read then I love to watch an episode of Merlin or Teen Wolf or something similar!

Do you ever listen to audiobooks? If so, why/when?

I don’t actually, I used to when I was younger on long car journeys. My family listened to all of The Chronicles of Narnia that way but I prefer to actually read books instead.

Who is an author you’ve been wanting to read from but haven’t gotten to yet?

I really want to read Shelby Mahurin’s book Serpent and Dove desperately!

Are there any books you have multiple copies of? If so, which ones and why?

I don’t think I have any multiple copies actually! I would love the Barnes and Noble editions of the folk of the air trilogy but I am not from America so I can’t have them 😦 I would also really like to get hardback editions of Throne of Glass and ACOTAR at some point.
