Love You Like A Love Song: A romance novel that is cliché but you still love it
This was the first Kasie West book I read and I loved it so much! It has fake dating which is a trope I adore and it is cliché but that’s what makes it so good! I haven’t read it in so long so I think it’s due a reread soon.
Rare: A book with a female protagonist unlike any other
This series!!! SO good, I think Mara Dyer is unique because technically Mara Dyer doesn’t exist and it’s a fake name. I can’t say too much about this series as they would be major spoilers but it is so addictive and you are left unsure of whether she is telling the truth.
Look at her now: A character who suffered a lot (physically/mentally) but eventually recovered and is now at the better end of life
Aelin, my fave! She suffered so much, first at the hands of Arobynn and then as a prisoner and then everything else that happens! But the ending of this was *chef’s kiss*.
Wolves: A book that got you out of a reading slump
I was in such a reading slump in November and this beauty got me out of it. I loved it so much and wanted to reread it as soon as I’d finished it!
It ain’t me: A character you used to like but not anymore
I liked Chaol from the beginning, not as much as Dorian I might add, but I did like him. Then after this book his existence annoyed me. This prompt says ‘don’t like anymore’ so I’ve technically not answered this correctly as after Tower of Dawn, he did redeem himself!
Feel Me: A character you can’t bear to see with anyone else but you
Dorian. I love you. I also love Manon but I want Dorian for myself please.
Same Old Love: A book with an unoriginal and unrealistic romance
There’s a tiny bit of romance in this book and it just felt a bit forced. And it was like guy struggles to speak to girl and has barely ever spoken to girl but then as soon as they talk once, they are in love. I just wasn’t feeling the romance element of this as it felt a bit underdeveloped.
The heart wants what it wants: A book you regret finishing because you miss reading it a lot
It was over way too soon and I’ve wanted to reread it since but still haven’t gotten around to it! One day I will!
Back to you: A book you read again and again even though you have other books on your TBR pile
I haven’t read this for a while, but it tends to be this genre that I come back to. I can easily speed through a reread of YA romance and this is one of my absolute favourites.
Hit the Lights: A book that just made you forget everything else
I could not put it down. I was reading it between writing an essay and revising for an exam and all I wanted to do was read it! I was hooked.
Tell me something I don’t know: A book people keep recommending you which you already have it in your TBR pile
I have had this recommended to me a few times and I’ve wanted to read it since I read the synopsis! It sounds insanely good!
I can’t get enough: A book series/world you just want more and more of
Although, How the King of Elfhame Learned to Hate Stories has just been released, I am already desperate for more! I love Elfhame and Jude and Cardan and I just need more!
