TTT: Books That Made Me Laugh Out Loud

Hi everyone, I can’t believe we are in the last week of February already. This month has gone so quickly compared to January. I don’t know whether it’s because I’m back with regular university seminars or because the month is shorter by a few days!

Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by ThatArtsyReaderGirl. You’ll find the rest of the topics listed on her page! This week’s topic is books that made me laugh out loud.

A Court of Silver Flames (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #4)

I adored this book and if you haven’t yet, you can check out my review that I posted yesterday here. There were moments in this book that amused me greatly, so I just had to include this book in this list! A lot of it was to do with the tension between Cassian and Nesta, or the communication between Nesta and the House.

Hot British Boyfriend

There were many cute moments in this book, but there were plenty of humorous things also. My full review is here. I think a lot of it was the idea of an American teenager attempting to date a British guy.

A Bad Boy Stole My Bra

I mean the whole first few chapters of this book is funny, the fact that it starts with a guy stealing his neighbour’s bra in the middle of the night because of a dare. There were lots of humorous things that happened in this book, and you can read my full thoughts here.

I love the concept of contemporary magic, and “glimpses” in this one. I found the first official meeting between Noah and Charity hilarious as they both are trying to pepper spray the other. I definitely recommend this one for a light hearted, cute read. My review is here.

Tweet Cute

This was my second ever review on this blog, if you would like to read it you can click here. The two main characters are conversing over three different platforms, without realising they are talking to the same person. I loved the concept and the humour of this book!

Meet Me at Midnight

One of my top ten books of 2020. This was filled with pranks (and love). But the pranks and rivalry were what made this, some of them were shocking and some were very amusing. If you love contemporary rivals to lovers, please read this, I can’t recommend it enough!

Save the Date

SO many mishaps happen whilst attempting to put on this wedding! I love Morgan Matson’s books and they are constantly filled with light hearted moments and humour!

Lola and the Boy Next Door (Anna and the French Kiss, #2)

I haven’t read this in a while, but I remember laughing and being unable to put it down. This is the sequel to Anna and the French Kiss. Lola was such a funny and adorable character.

The Upside of Unrequited (Simonverse, #2)

This book is mainly about learning to embrace yourself and being comfortable with who you are. But of course, there are some funny moments. I loved the message and the storyline of this book. It helps that the author was loosely inspired by Emma by Jane Austen and Clueless, both of which I find very funny!

Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1)

I desperately need to reread this series! But I had to include it in this list. I love Iko and think she provides comic relief in some intense moments of the book. She is such a great character and constantly made me laugh!

A lot of these books are due a reread for me! Have you read any of these, did you find them funny? Also, have you read any funny books that I could have included?

Georgia x

  1. Iko!!!! I love the Lunar Chronicles series. I love Iko so much and she really has some of the best one-liners and moments of any character I’ve read in a while. I just want a whole book about her. – Amber

    1. There are books about her! I’ve only read the first but I have the second. They are graphic novels so a bit different but I loved the first one! They’re called Wires & Nerve, and some of the characters from the previous books did make a few appearances!

  2. These all sound hilarious! 😂 Unfortunately I haven’t read any of them (yet 😉), but I keep seeing Tweet Cute getting positive reviews. I’m getting more and more interested in reading it lol!
The last book I read that made me laugh was Billy Connolly’s autobiography: Made In Scotland. He can make anything he talks about funny! 😂👏

  3. I often tend to be a bit “emotionless” (I guess) when it comes to reading, sadly, so I ended up skipping this topic. I always enjoy to see what others find cute/funny though. Tweet Cute and The Lunar Chronicles are already on my TBR, but this is the first I’ve heard of Glimpsed, and it sounds amazing! I’ll definitely be adding that one. I have actually read The Upside of Unrequited, but I’ll admit I wasn’t a big fan of it and don’t remember much, although from what I do remember, Reid was quite adorkable.
