TTT: Characters Whose Job I Wish I Had

Hi everyone! It seems crazy to me that we’re in March already! Also Happy publication day to Chain of Iron, I have finally bought a copy (and accidently bought 3 other books at the same time)!

Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by ThatArtsyReaderGirl. You’ll find the rest of the topics listed on her page! This week’s topic is characters whose job I wish I had, and as I read a lot of fantasy, I’m not sure how well this is going to go as I don’t particularly want to be an assassin!

The Unexpected Everything

I’m going to use this for two of today’s entries as Andie is a Dog Walker and I wouldn’t mind spending my days with dogs! And Clark is a famous author so also a pretty good job that I would like to have!

Theatrical

Hope lands an internship on a major theatre production. I would love to work backstage (and onstage) of a big production as I think that would be so cool. From being in community shows, I’d love to see how different it is backstage at a proper theatre!

Unconventional

Lexi helps run her Dad’s events business, including running a convention. How cool is that! I definitelt wouldn’t mind having that job!

Alex, Approximately

Both Bailey and Porter work at a museum and Porter is a security guard. Whilst this could be boring and tiring, I think there’s something fun about working behind the scenes of a museum and being part of it all!

Lola and the Boy Next Door (Anna and the French Kiss, #2)

It’s not quite a job but Lola designs and creates her own clothes which I find so inspiring! She uses her creativity to express herself through her clothing. If only I was talented enough to do that!

Renegades (Renegades, #1)

Nova has to go undercover as a Renegade in this book and I have definitely dreamed about being a spy at least once in my life. I think there’s something so daring about doing that!

Tweet Cute

As I’d quite like to work in publicity for publishing, both Pepper and Jack’s jobs of running the social media accounts of their family’s businesses seem quite fun, albeit stressful at times!

Viper (Isles of Storm and Sorrow #1)

Again, it’s not quite a job (can you tell I’m running out of ideas) but I’d love to be a pirate, and protect the seas like Marianne is meant to do. Also if you haven’t read these books yet, you have to because they are so good, and the final book in the trilogy is out in April!

City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1)

I don’t know if it counts as a job but I wouldn’t mind being in a band like Simon! That would be the dream!

This was a lot harder than I thought it would be, I’m thinking fantasy is not the best genre for this week’s theme! What kinds of jobs have you come across in books that you would want to have?

Georgia x

  1. Haha, I also got stuck, being a fantasy reader…Such dangerous occupations in those worlds. Minus the pirate (I can’t dream of staying on the ocean that much), most of these sound pretty cool! I’ll have to add Theatrical to my TBR as well!
