TTT: Funny Book Titles

Hi everyone! I’m currently in the middle of writing responses to some application questions and I’m struggling so figured I would take a break to write today’s post! I also just want to say that I finished Bridge to Terabithia last night and spent the last quarter of it crying! I knew exactly what was going to happen so I don’t know why I put myself through it! It was very good though.

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by ThatArtsyReaderGirl. You’ll find the rest of the topics listed on her page! This week’s topic is Funny Book Titles! I’m only going to do five today as I really struggled with thinking of book titles that were funny haha!

Only the Good Spy Young (Gallagher Girls, #4)

I saw someone else mention the Ally Carter books and I knew I had to include one! I love the titles of the Gallagher Girls series and I think they are very punny! I used to be obsessed with this series when I was younger and i think they’re due a reread.

I’m not going to lie, I’m already struggling to think of funny book titles as I read a lot of fantasy books and those titles seem to be more serious. But I’ve seen this one around a bit and I’ve only just noticed the wordplay!

I have no idea what this book is about, but I love the word play!

Kiss My Cupcake

I really want to read this so I hope i can get to it soon!

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl

This title should not be funny, but it’s not not funny. I think the fact that it rhymes amuses me a lot!

From my inability to think of funny or witty book titles, I clearly need to read some more contemporary books. Do you have any recommendations for books with funny titles?

Georgia x

  1. Great picks! I went rogue this week cos I was drawing blanks for books but after seeing everyone’s posts I realised I could’ve taken a look at the punny cosy mystery titles that I love (and have plenty of on my TBR)! 😂 Only the Good Spy Young is a great title! Lol
