TTT: Books I’d Gladly Throw Into The Ocean

So last week it was really warm and now it’s snowing! I do not understand British weather at all!

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by ThatArtsyReaderGirl. You’ll find the rest of the topics listed on her page! This week’s topic is books I’d glady throw into the ocean! I’m going to put a little spin on it and do books I’d throw into the ocean after it’s ending!

Lord of Shadows (The Dark Artifices, #2)

I cried at this so much. The ending broke my heart and I wish I never had to read it again. Not a fan at all. (I do love this book though, I just despise the ending so much).

The Wicked King (The Folk of the Air, #2)

This ending shocked me, and then frustrated me when I had to wait so long after the cliffhanger!

Empire of Storms (Throne of Glass, #5)

The ending of this was so painful! And then Maas had the audacity to make me wait for two years!! And read about Chaol in between, no thank you!

The Princess and the Dragon and Other Stories About Unlikely Heroes

This is a standalone and it is left on a cliffhanger, PURPOSEFULLY! WHY?! I still want to know what happens to these characters.

Chain of Iron (The Last Hours, #2)

It’s been over a week since I finished this, I have still not recovered. I am still extremely frustrated by the ending!

Night's Child (Sweep, #15)

I love the SWEEP/Wicca series so much but I hate the last book. If you read this series, just don’t read book 15, it acts as an epilogue in a sense, but it just made me so angry and is not worth it, in my opinion!

The Last Star (The 5th Wave, #3)

I had high hopes of an ending I was happy with, but no, this made me sad. WHy must you destroy my ship that way?

Allegiant (Divergent, #3)

Why would you end the trilogy in this way? What was that epilogue? NOPE, not impressed!

These Violent Delights (These Violent Delights, #1)

So I need the sequel now, because that ending was most definitely not okay with me! I can’t believe I have to wait till November to know what happens to these characters!

King of Scars (King of Scars, #1)

The ending of this, arghh!! I still haven’t read Rule of Wolves yet and I’m not sure when I will because I want to wait till it’s out on paperback, but I need to know asap!

I do not cope well with cliffhangers, especially when I have to wait so long in between them! I get so frustrated!

Do we share similar opinions about these books?

  1. *cackles in author*

I know what happens at the end of The Princess and the Dragon and Other Stories About Unlikely Heroes, but the reason it’s a standalone is [redacted for spoilers]. I will return to the world at some point, even though it likely won’t be a direct sequel or anything that neat. The story needs to breathe a bit (and I need to work on some other projects). But I promise that if there’s ever a print copy of the book, you have my full permission to throw it in the ocean!

  2. Having to wait to read the next in a series is extremely frustrating! I’ve heard that a few times from The Wicked King, so I need to remember to have the next one on standby when I get around to reading this series!

  3. I’m starting the TDA series soon and I’m a bit worried now. I’m too hyped for that series. I don’t want it to be too frustrating or disappointing. I can see why The Wicked King made this list; that ending was so unexpected.
