Monthly Wrap-Up: July 2021

Hey everyone! I’m hoping to stick to more regular posting again, it’s my Summer holidays now and I’ve just started a new job and am struggling to get a schedule together!

I managed to read eight books in July, plus a handful of Wattpad books! I didn’t meet my overly ambitious TBR and I definitely didn’t stick to it either!

My favourite book of July was The Ex Talk.

Not Here To Be Liked:

Not Here to Be Liked

This book was such a fun read and I really enjoyed getting to know the characters. The rivals to lovers trope was perfect and I definitely recommend this one. I couldn’t put this book down!

Love Life:

This was such an emotional romance book. I think the fact I started it in the middle of the night added to that. It was unputdownable and I loved it!

Wendy, Darling:

I adore Peter Pan and this book was so interesting. It was a dark retelling of my favourite story and how Neverland is percevied as a monster. Definitely recommend this one!

The Voyage of Freydis:

Un fortunately, this book did not live up to my expectations and it wasn’t what I expected. Once it picked up and there was finally some positive things happening to the character, I kept reading. But I struggled a bit with this one.

The Outlands Book Two:

I had the opportunity to be a BETA reader for the sequel to The Outlands by Tyler Edwards, and I really enjoyed it. I will be posting a review closer to the publication date, but if you haven’t alreadythen check out the first book!

Like A Love Song:

This was such a cute YA romance and I loved it. If you’re looking for the famous trope and the fake boyfriend trope, then this is the book for you!

My favourite book from July was filled with the perfect rivals to lovers romance. There was so much tension between the characters and I couldn’t put this one down!

My review for this one is coming soon but I could not put this down! This was the perfect office romance, set after the first lockdowns when people were coming back to work in person. I adored the relationship between these characters as it felt very real. It was the perfect romance book.

How many books did you manage to read in July and have you read any of these? Let me know!
