The Joy of Christmas Book Tag

I saw this tag on Etta’s blog @ Chonky Books and thought it looked fun so here goes! Sam @Sam’s Nonsense created the tag so don’t forget to check that out too!

Anticipation: The Christmas excitement is real, what book release(s) are you most anticipating?

Admittedly, I’ve still not read the first one but I am quite excited about the release of Bound by Firelight and I’m also looking forward to Only a Monster!

Christmas Songs & Carols: What book or author can you not help but sing its/their praises?

I have a few favourite authors where I will read their whole backlog of books! I adore Sarh J. Maas and Marissa Meyer are a couple of them!

Gilded (Gilded, #1)

Gingerbread Houses: What book or series has wonderful world-building?

I can think of so many but the most recent one would have to be All of Us Villains! I adored that book and could not get enough of the world that was created.

All of Us Villains (All of Us Villains, #1)

A Christmas Carol: Favourite classic or one that you want to read

I don’t read many classics, but I did really enjoy Emma when I read it! Part of me wants to read some other Jane Austen books at some point, like maybe Pride and Prejudice.

Christmas Sweets: What book would you love to receive for Christmas?

I’ve asked for quite a few books for Christmas but I would like to have the Bargainer series as I’ve wanted to read them for over a year!

Rhapsodic (The Bargainer, #1)

Candles in the Window: What book gives you that warm fuzzy feeling?

So many romances! I really enjoyed The Holiday Swap as it was Christmassy and there was romance and it was a really sweet read!

Christmas Trees & Decorations: What are some of your favourite book covers?

It Happened One Summer (Bellinger Sisters, #1)
To Love Jason Thorn

At the moment I’ve been loving romance covers with illustrated characters, like these two which are on my TBR!

Christmas Joy: What are some of your favourite things about Christmas?

I love getting to spend time relaxing with my family. It feels like a very magical time and it brightens up the dark evenings, which I hate haha!

I’m not going to tag anyone, but if you fancy doing a Christmas tag then feel free to do this one!

  1. What a fun tag! I’m also really looking forward to Only A Monster—it sounds SO good and the cover is stunning 😍 I’m also a huge fan of illustrated covers especially of romances! I can’t wait to read these Tessa Bailey books.
