Monthly Wrap-ups

Monthly Wrap-Up: September 2022

Hey everyone! I can’t believe September has been and gone, this year has gone scarily fast!

My reading tanked in September and I read 6 books, all of which were ARCs or books for blog tours and thankfully, I enjoyed all of them!

My favourite book this month was The American Roommate Experiment.

What Hunts Inside the Shadows by Harper L. Woods

I loved the first book in this series, but I think unfortunately, the sequel didn’t quite live up to my expectations. I still enjoyed it, but it felt very much like a filler book.

Hooked by A.C. Wise

I love anything related to Peter Pan, no surprise there I’m sure! This is a sequel to Wendy, Darling, set a few years later and introduces Captain Hook into the mix. I’m always fascinated with fairytale retellings and this one is a lot darker than the Disney version!

The American Roommate Experiment by Elena Armas

I adore this book so much! I was lucky to be on the Tandem Collective Readalong on TikTok and really enjoyed making content around this book. If you want to check out some of my videos my username is @neverlandb00ks . The tension between these two characters had me obsessed!

Storwind of Shadows by Jasmine Jenkins and Sophie Suliman

I love books set in magical schools! I also love books with lots of romance, and as this is told from the perspective of three siblings, there is a romance story for each of them! I can’t wait to see what happens next to the Greywick triplets!

Soul of the Deek by Natasha Bowen

This was an amazing sequel and I loved this story and the inclusion of West African mythology and culture. I definitely recommend this series!

Wilder at Heart by Sara Madderson

Sara Madderson has made me a major fan of her writing. This is the second book of hers I’ve read and I adored it! I will definitely be reading more of her books!

That’s it for my September Wrap-up! How did your September go? Have you got any spooky October recs for me?

Georgia x
