TTT: Bookish Goals for 2023

Welcome back to another Top Ten Tuesday, which is hosted by That Artsy Reader! This week’s topic is bookish goals for 2023! I have already done a goals for 2023 post, which you can read here. Not all of them were strictly book related, so this post is going to be all about what I read in 2023!

Read 100 books. With starting a new job, this may not be reached but one can dream!

Read more LGBTQ+ books. I do read some each year, but I know I can always read more! I also tend to read more gay romances than lesbian, so I need to change that too!

Read more diverse, own-voices books. This is so important to me, and I’m going to make sure I read even more than I did this year!

Re-read Throne of Glass. Every year I say I’m going to do it. And I’ve been dying to, so I really hope 2023 is the year!

Take part in a readathon. I would like to do a readathon this year, as they look so fun! So if anyone can recommend any to me, that would be amazing!

Reduce my physical TBR by 50%. At the moment, my physical TBR is way too long. Especially with a Fairyloot subscription, and for some reason I keep prioritising romance over fantasy, so I need to get my act together!

Keep my NetGalley rating about 80%. This needs to happen cause at the moment, I’m catching up from September, so I need to actually consider what I’m requesting and whether I have time to be reading them!

Read the Fairyloot books within two months of receiving them. I’m hoping doing this will stop a backlog, because it is ridiculous how long some of those books have gone unread for!

Take monthly breaks from buying books. Obviously this does not include Fairyloot, but sometimes I buy books just for the sake of buying a book, and that needs to stop!

Reread some old favourites. I really miss reading some series so this year, I’m going to try to reread the Wicca series, as well as some of my favourite standalones!
