Monthly Wrap-Up – January 2023

I actually cannot believe January is over already! Normally I feel like it drags but this year it has gone so quickly for me.

My reading has definitely slowed down in the last three weeks after starting a new full time job! So the majority of my reading happened in the first week. I managed to read 9 books in January, which is about 7 less than January 2022! But I read so many good books!!

My favourite book from January was The Stolen Heir by Holly Black.

From Lukov With Love by Mariana Zapata

This was the perfect book to begin the year. I was obsessed and it set me up for such a great month of reading! I adored the characters and I now need to read as many ice skating romances as I can get my hands on!

All of Us Villains and All of Our Demise by Christine Herman and Amanda Foody

Finally reading the ending to this duology was so satisfying. I loved the way everything tied together, even if I did cry. It was so good and I could definitely see myself reading these again!

Night Shift by Annie Crown

I read this in January 2022 and clearly I thought a year was too long cause I was itching to read it. I adore the characters and sped through it so quickly!

The Stolen Heir by Holly Black

Ahh I can’t believe we are entering Elfhame again! I adore the new characters and love seeing Oak older. It does feel a little old not reading from Jude’s perspective, but I love Suren! Although, at the moment Jude and Cardan have the throne!

Exes and O’s by Amy Lea

This was so so good! I adored Amy Lea’s Set On You so I had expectations when going into this, and they were exceeded! It was so fun and I loved seeing parts of myself in the main character.

Mindwalker by Kate Dylan

This book was insane. It was so good, and I need to see a film of it, like Catching Fire level of adaption. It was ya dystopian perfection in my mind, it had just the right amount of romance and a thrilling plot!

Never Ever Getting Back Together by Sophie Gonzales

I won’t lie I was attracted to this book because of the title, but Sophie Gonzales did not come to play. This was amazing, I loved reading about the two main character get closer and closer whilst trying to take the guy down! It was so fun and the setting of a reality dating show did not disappoint.

Icebreaker by Hannah Grace

And in a full circle moment, I ended January by reading another ice skating romance, but this time between a figure skater and a hockey player. I loved the tension and slow burn between these two, and I cannot wait for Henry’s book cause he is an angel.

That’s it for this month! I have no idea whether I’ll read more or less in February, but we shall see!

Georgia x
