Hey everyone! As I’m so behind on reviews for the romance books I read in the last few weeks, I thought I’d do some mini reviews and share them as recommendations!

Crash by Tamara Lush ARC Review
Thank you to NetGalley and W for Wattpad Books for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
You all know I love fake dating and this book goes one step further by having a fake engagement! Alex has a rivalry with his cousin for the CEO position of his grandma’s company. When Evie is tasked with delivering some papers directly to her boss, Alex, he mistakes her as his replacement secretary, rather than as an intern. Evie then has to sit in on a meeting between Alex, his grandma, and his cousin, all whilst trying to remain professional and panicking about the possibility of losing her job. Instead, Alex’s grandma sees the chemistry between him and Evie and thinks they are a couple, which ultimately leads to Alex asking Evie to be his fake fiancee.
‘I think you need to aim a little higher. You’re giving me your time. Your entire summer. You’re giving me you.’
Forcing these two to spend time together shows their undeniable chemistry as they get closer and have to act as a couple at family events. As the book progresses, the feelings become more real and Evie has to consider whether it’s worth upending the life she has built for her and her sister for the chance of love with a man who might not love her back. This was a fun, quick read with some of my favourite tropes!

For Her Consideration by Amy Spalding ARC Review
Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Romances set in Hollywood do something to me, I just adore them. Nina wants to be a scriptwriter for TV, but currently she works at a talent agency managing the email accounts for celebrities. After a pretty big break up, she has moved to the suburbs of LA and is living in her aunt’s condo, having cut off almost everyone in her life. When Ari Fox, a young popular actress asks for a meeting with the person controlling her email account because they don’t sound like her, Nina’s life flips upside down.
‘Because, Nina, I didn’t think that you were an option. I’ve been living this whole time I’ve known you like you weren’t an option. Nina Rice. Tell me you’re an option.’
Nina and Ari hit it off almost immediately and strike up a friendship where Nina is pining after someone she thinks could never love her back. Whilst this is a romance, For Her Consideration is also about Nina reconnecting with her friends and learning to love herself and to appreciate change. Nina undergoes a lot of character development in this and I loved seeing her grow into herself. The romance was so cute and I was obsessed with their chemistry and the tension between these two.

A Ghost in Shining Armour by Therese Beharrie ARC Review
Thank you to NetGalley, Harper Collins UK, and One More Chapter for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was a fun and unique romance with the added twist of ghosts! Gemma has been able to see ghosts for a while, they visit her and she must help them with their final wish before they can move on. She’s never had a ghost help her with a task until Levi. And after kissing Levi for a bet, he now appears human and can be seen by all. Levi has been tasked with helping Gemma reunite with her long lost twin sister that her adoptive parents never told her about. If Levi is successful, he can return to his universe alive and be there for his younger sister.
‘So choose you. Choose the person you want to be and the life you want to have.’
The only way to explain Levi’s presence is to pretend they’re dating, which inevitably brings up some real feelings and a lot of tension between these two as they’re living in the same space. They are very flirty towards each other, but both are aware that having any sort of relationship would only hurt them in the end as Levi is a ghost and not from Gemma’s universe. I couldn’t help but root for them as they both had to make difficult decisions that had the probability of uprooting their entire life. This book was a fun read and I was hooked to their slow burn romance.

Falling Hard for the Royal Guard by Megan Clawson ARC Review
Thank you to NetGalley and Avon books for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Maggie’s dad is a Beefeater and after breaking up with her douchebag of an ex, she had moved in with him into the Tower of London. Unfortunately for Maggie, her ex won’t leave her alone and keeps showing up at the ticket office of the Tower, where she works. Despite living only a few minutes from her workplace, Maggie isn’t always on time, which means she has to take the money to the safe at the end of the day, which she hates doing as it is supposedly haunted. As she’s leaving, Maggie bumps into one of the royal guards, who doesn’t respond in the kindest way. The next day on her way to work, Maggie sees the guard, Freddie, at his post and knowing he can’t respond to her, she decides to say a few things to him about his manners.
‘I didn’t want any of those things as much as I wanted you. I couldn’t stay away from you, so I didn’t. And I fell in love with you.’
What follows is such a cute slow burn relationship that had me gripped to the pages. I loved each of their interactions as they spend more time together and Maggie was introduced to Freddie’s troop. These two had a lot of chemistry and it was such a unique story with an amazing setting. As they get closer, Maggie realises Freddie is keeping something from her, but she can’t figure out why he won’t be honest with her when he seems to want the same things she does. I couldn’t put this down and definitely recommend if you want a fun romance!

Forget Me Twice by Carina Taylor by ARC Review
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was a very cute second chance romance! When Meyer gets a call from the hospital telling her that her husband has been in a plane accident and she needs to come and take him home, she is very confused. Meyer and Archie divorced a year ago, but turns out she is still his emergency contact. When Meyer gets to the hospital, it turns out Archie has amnesia and believes they are still happily married and living in the same state. The doctor encourages Meyer to let Archie remember things on his own, which leaves Meyer left playing house with the ex who she still has feelings for.
‘I want you to be sure of your decision. I want you to be sure of me.’
As Meyer is trying to fight off the physical affection coming from Archie, she is also battling with her heart as she doesn’t want it to break twice. There were some very swoon worthy moments in this where I just wanted Meyer to give in to Archie as he appeared so devoted to her, and it made you wonder what could have happened for them to separate. This was a quick, easy read and I couldn’t put it down. It was lighthearted and the chemistry between them was perfect.
If you’re looking for your next romance read, definitely give one of these a chance as I really enjoyed them!
