In January 2023, I read a grand total of 9 books. Check out my post to see which ones I loved!
This week my reading has taken a hit, but a bit of romance has been spurring me on. Read my blog to find out what I've been reading!
I thought I'd end the working week with a fun book tag. I love tropes and fantasy tropes can be some of the best! So let's get started!

Hey everyone! It's Top Ten Tuesday time again!! I can't believe January is going so quickly this year. It feels way too soon for it be the fourth week of January. Top Ten Tuesday is hosed by That Artsy Reader. This week's topic is new-to-me authors I discovered in 2022. I think I discovered quite a few new authors last year so hopefully this prompt will be an easy one!
You can't go wrong with a witchy book! There's magic, usually morally grey characters and I especially love the ones with romance! I thought I'd recommend some of my favourites, in the hopes that you'll share some of yours too! I'm in desperate need of more. The SWEEP series Kingdom of the Wicked Trilogy All… Continue reading Witchy Book Recommendations
Wow. This book blew me away. The concept, the execution, it was amazing! I couldn't get enough of it and never wanted to stop reading. Sil Sarrah works for Syntex and has a supercomputer inside her head. This computer allows her to go into the heads of field agents and commandeer their mind from afar to lead them to safety. She has not lost a single life in the ten years she's been doing it. The only thing is, the supercomputer inside her head is slowly deteriorating and she only has about a year left before it will take her with it. Her computer glitches during a mission, which sets off a turn of events she could never have predicted. After failing a critical mission, she is forced to run and prove that she is not a traitor to the people she has worked for for the last ten years.
After reading Set On You and loving it, I knew I had to read Exes and O's immediately (or as soon as I could get my hands on it!). Tara was the perfect protagonist! A book lover who categories her life into tropes? Sounds a bit like myself haha! When Tara moves into her new apartment with Trevor, the old roommate of Crystal's (her sister) boyfriend, she is met with a surprise. Tara and Trevor didn't have the perfect first meeting, in fact, Tara saw a lot more of Trevor (and the woman he was with) than she bargained for. Tara is a book influencer, she has a very popular bookstagram, and her love of romance novels, reminded me a lot of myself! She is determined to have her perfect book-worthy romance, and has decided that dating apps are not the way to go.
Hey everyone! Welcome back to WWW Wednesday, which is hosted by Taking On a World of Worlds. I've managed to do a bit more reading and am now a week and a half into my new job! I'm going to slowly try and work my way through arcs until I'm all caught up and can read some of my physical tbr! The Three W’s are: What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next?
Welcome back to another Top Ten Tuesday, which is hosted by That Artsy Reader! This week's topic is bookish goals for 2023! I have already done a goals for 2023 post, which you can read here. Not all of them were strictly book related, so this post is going to be all about what I read in 2023!
