Spotify Wrapped Book Challenge

I was looking for a post to do today and came across this Spotify Wrapped Book Challenge on Amanda’s blog Your Book Friend. This challenge was originally posted by Lace and Dagger Books.

It looked so fun and I couldn’t resist taking part! All you have to do is go to your Spotify Wrapped and shuffle the songs and then choose the first 5 songs. Then you get to match a book to the song!

Drowning by Jonah Kagen

This song is about drowning under the weight of your partner and letting go even if you still love them. It made me think about Meet Me in the Middle by Alex Light as these two have a lot of shared history and both experienced the same traumatic event.

Girl Of Your Dreams by Dylan

So for this one, I was originally thinking about books with unrequited love, but then I heard the lyrics ‘I can be what you want, I can be what you need’ and it made me think about characters that changed themselves for a love interest. And then, I was thinking about fake dating. So that being said, I went for a The Decoy Girlfriend by Lillie Vale.

Black Hole by Griff

With Black Hole my brain went straight to books set in space. I haven’t read masses of these but in Cress by Marissa Meyer, Cress is imprisoned on a satellite in space!

Love Of My Life by Harry Styles

For Love Of My Life, it just had to be a romance! I wasn’t sure which romance to do but You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle just wanted to be chosen!

Blonde by Maisie Peters

Blonde is all about getting revenge and Maisie’s ex rueing the day she was born. So I immediately thought of Never Ever Getting Back Together by Sophie Gonzales!

This was actually really fun and I might do it again in the future cause I loved matching the songs up with the books and characters!
